Helpful Biking How Tos

As we slip into summer some of you will no doubt be waking your rigs out of their hibernation. Others of you that never gave your rigs a break will no doubt need to give them some love and tune em to thrash them this spring/summer. Listed below is a few sites that have been helpful to me over the seasons. I have compiled a few of the great online resources for everything cycling maintenance related. I would also like to give props to Robb Sutton over at  MTBby198 for his suggestions and additions to the list!

Mountain Bike Action: Excellent how to section!!

Sramtech: Kick Ass SramtechYou Tube channel with 23 easily digestible training videos for all things SRAM, RockShox, Avid and Truvativ,  and they are always adding more!

Mountain Biking by 198: Great all around site for the cycling enthusiast and includes a great tips section!

Bicycling.com: Informative Fix It section!

Sheldon Brown: The godfather of cycling R.I.P. (1944-2008) but his site is still the goto joint!!

Park Tool: Not only manufactures the bee's knees of cycling tools but also a resource not to be overlooked, Repair.

Hopetech: Check their downloads section for some great beta!!

In addition to this list I wanted to also add our buddy Jay Dub and his site which fortuitously has a recent post on some great cycling blogs. He took the time to list and link 95 separate cycling related blogs. Thanks man, you rock!!!

Another tidbit for you, never pass up the opportunity to swing by your LBS (local bike shop) and ask questions! Hint: bring a six pack of some tasty microbrew and most wrenches will spill their secret tricks!!!

If in the Colorado Springs, CO area check out one of my favorite shops CS WEST. These folks are always smiling and have been a wealth of great info! Hey Mindy and Rush, thanks for the loaner shock pump!!! Whoo Hooo!!!

If you wanna give your LBS props leave a comment and if you have any other great sites for bike tech stuff let me know and I will add them.

Cheers and Beers and never forget to
