Summer Beer Fests

The Colorado Springs Beer Fest is coming up rather quickly, next Saturday, July 23rd. It is from 12pm-5pm in Antlers' Park and will feature local brews from 25 different breweries! Proceeds from this event will go towards The Friends of Cheyenne Cañon and North Cheyenne Cañon Park! Get $20 tickets here! (Tix will be $25 at the door)

The Manitou Craft Lager Fest is also coming, August 12th-14th. It's an outdoor 3 day event that features live music, food and of course...BEER! (Chek out Juice Box and Yeti "helping" at the 2008 fest). They are also changing the name a bit to the "Craft Lager & Small Batch Festival." The fest will not only focus on lagers from all over the country, but also some micro-distillery and R&D beer sampling. While you are drinking all of that wonderful beer, know that your ticket purchase went to a great cause, saving trees! Here are some of the wonderful groups that the fest donates to:

• Friends of North Cheyenne Canyon
• TOSC- Red Rocks Open Space & Section 16
• Manitou Springs City Parks
• Manitou Springs Community Gardens
• Manitou Springs Amphitheater Project
