Thieves Caught Stealing Glacial Ice

As if this global warming issue wasn't bad enough now crazy thieves in Chile are stealing glacial ice to sell resorts and restaurants for their cocktails. I can understand that times are tough all over and apparently the latest craze in Chile is to give up on the tough stuff and get into chipping ice. A few days ago a group of guys were busted with 5 tons of ice that they had nabbed from the already massively melted Jorge Mantt Glacier located on the north end of the Southern Patagonian Ice Field. The ice load would net the thieves around $6,000 if they hadn't been thwarted by Chilean police. But now I wonder what the authorities are going to do with the booty, watch it melt?
