Lance Armstrong Doping Investigation Dropped

Lance probably hasn't felt this relieved since he last won the Tour and who would blame him? After all there is news today that federal prosecutors are dropping their investigation and no charges will be filed against 7 time Tour de France champion Lance Armstrong and his teammates. This comes following tons of mud slinging and a number of other professional cyclist's careers imploding once it was revealed that they doped and were stripped of their titles and banned from events for several years. Ultimately this was never really about if Lance himself doped, rather this was about determining if Lance Armstrong and his other team mates violated federal conspiracy, fraud, or racketeering laws.

Even through the allegations and posturing by the authorities and investigators Lance maintained his innocence and it seems that his legal team did their job well. I doubt this is the end of the entire drama concerning Lance and the gang but for now it has been laid to rest. Who knows if he doped or helped dope or what ever, only Lance truly knows.

I for one am one fan that deep down believes that at that level of any competitive big payday sport it is not who dopes, rather who gets caught. But I also am glad that this issue has been finalized...or has it?

Love the picture you chose.

Love the picture you chose. :) Well, it sounds like USADA is still pressing ahead, so the witch hunt isn't quite over yet. It seems like such a waste of time and money, though. I mean, at this point does anyone really care (if he did or didn't)? Personally, I think he most likely did dope to the gills; but honestly, considering everyone else was, too, I don't think it really made anything unfair.
