Alaskan Raspberry Wheat
Alaskan Raspberry Wheat is adding to our collection of refreshing summer drinks. If you are a lover of fruit beers or perhaps just a fan of having a crisp refreshing beer on a warm summer day, then this is one beer you don't want to miss.
Alaskan Raspberry Wheat, by Ay Alaskan Brewing Company is a seasonal beer limited by its tasty ingredients. With over 3,000 pounds of fresh picked raspberries, and water straight from glaciers, the timing has to be perfect for this masterpiece. The raspberries give it a brilliant tart flavor, that isn't to over powering, but at the same time not subtle. It pours to a ruby red body, with a medium white head, and stands tall with a respectable 6.5% ABV. This isn't a beer that will knock you off your feet, but it will leave your taste buds singing.
Berry picking in Alaska can be very dangerous. Black and brown bears are coming out of hibernation and foraging at this time of year, and I hear there are mosquitos as big as humming birds. Oh, brave berry pickers of the Great North, I thank you for your courage and salute you as I drink this beer.
