Liberty Ale

Happy 4th of July everyone!!! What a special day it is to be a red blooded, cold beer loving American, so I had to find an extra special beer to celebrate this BOTW/Independence Day with. It was a tough choice, but there was one beer that caught my eye, Liberty Ale, by Anchor Brewing Company.

Liberty Ale is an American style Pale Ale, meaning it is a little hoppy, but not as over powering as an IPA. This beer is smooth, crisp, and has a slight floral flavor mixed with a hint of citrus. It pours with an average head, and has colorful, copper body. The finish is mellow, and leaves behind a sweet taste.

Liberty Ale is available year round, but could you think of a better day to enjoy this beer? If you need more of a patriotic reason to drink this beer other than its name, it was first brewed on the 18th of April 1975, the 200th anniversary of Paul Revere's famous ride.

All of us at UpaDowna would like to wish you a happy and safe Independence Day. Let freedom ring!!!
