Dubhe
The 2011 Outdoor Retailer Summer Market Show is in the books! It was a hectic week of running around, and learning as much as we could about all of your favorite gear and some new stuff as we could in 4 days. While in Salt Lake City we took the time to check out some of their fine beers as well. One worth mentioning is an Imperial Black IPA known as "Dubhe" by Uinta Brewing Company.
The Dubhe pours dark brown, almost black body with a fluffy off white head that leaves a very fine lacing behind. This hemp enriched ale is hoppy at the front, but calms down fast to a bitter finish. Overall it goes down really smooth for a beer that has a whopping 9.20% ABV, and can really sneak up on you!
Wam-bam thank you ma'am! In UpaDowna fashion the Dubhe concludes our trip to the OR Show in Salt Lake City! Big thanks to Travis for the heads up on the beer, Marci for the hospitality, all our new friends from the show, and of course all of our old buddies that we were excited to see as well.
