Small Patch Pumpkin Harvest Ale

Happy Halloween everyone! Which also brings us to our final BOTW for the month of October. I still can't believe there were five Mondays for this month! It worked out well for our BOTW section with all the great harvest and seasonal ales to choose from right now. For this week's delicious treat I chose  Small Patch Pumpkin Harvest Ale, from Tommyknocker Brewery. Amongst pumpkin ales I rate this one pretty high. It has a great pumpkin spice flavor and I think I can taste a slight vanilla overtone. It has a relatively mild ABV of 5.0% which means you can drink a lot of them. Which I plan to do! It pours to a dark amber body, with thin a lacing. The spices are well balanced, none of them seem to overpower the others, but I think it could have been spiced up just a little bit more to allow a longer lingering flavor. Over all a very well done pumpkin ale, another great product from Tommyknocker Brewery. Speaking of which, I really want to try their root beer sometime.

One down, five more to go from this 6 pack. Hopefully I'll be able to pair this beer with Kit Kats, Peanut Butter Cups, and Monday night football if I don't get to many trick or treaters.

Menikmati,
