The Colorado Avalanche Information Center (CAIC) has issued a special warning concerning a large portion of Colorado's high country for this weekend. This warning is something all folks that plan on getting out there on the snow this weekend as avalanches have already killed 6 people this year.

Not as in best friends forever, but as in Bicycle Film Festival! Today, Yeti and I were invited to get involved in possibly bringing the Bicycle Film Fest (or BFF) to Colorado Springs and other cities in Colorado! Hosted by John Crandall of Old Town Bike Shop and John Weiss of the Colorado Springs Independent, we were treated to many amazing film shorts, including one that has yet to make it's world debut.

SkyTech Sport Ski & Fit that's what! Check out the cool thing we found at the SIA show in Denver!
Hopefully, someday, UpaDowna can provide access to this in the Colorado Springs area so folks can see how fun skiing and snowboarding is if they've never gone, AND provide training or workouts for people that are ski bums!

What do you get when you mix 2,000ft of vertical gain, free beer and sweat-wicking t-shirts? My kind of party, that's what! Even though this fundraising effort and membership drive didn't take place at the top of the Manitou Incline, it sure was successful! In just under an hour and a half, over 100 "friends" had signed up.
